Both the inner and outer straps work together to 'marry' the foot to the shoe. One strap anchors the foot to the shoe and the second strap specifically supports the lateral ligaments of the ankle. A neoprene booty within the shell of the shoe helps to keep the foot in place, wicks away moisture and provides cushion. A heavy-duty webbed tab at the ankle assists pull on. Proprietary foam fabrication that assists the forefoot and heel with shock absorption. Two lateral side bumpers are integrated into the outer sole of the shoe, making flat landings possible from any angle and discourages lateral inversion of the shoe (this bumpers are slightly beveled to make side movements effortless without sticking).
